الإمارات تفرج عن 870 سجيناً قبل اليوم الوطني... قبلها حزمة إصلاحات تشريعية

أمر رئيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان بالإفراج عن 870 سجيناً اليوم الأحد قبل العيد الوطني الخمسين للبلاد الذي يصادف الثاني من ديسمبر كانون الأول.

وأضاف البيان أن السجناء المحكوم عليهم بجرائم مختلفة سيتم تسديد ديونهم وغراماتهم.

وقالت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة يوم السبت إن قانوناً جنائياً جديداً سيدخل حيز التنفيذ في يناير كانون الثاني في إطار ما وصفته بأنه الإصلاح القانوني الأكثر شمولاً في تاريخ الدولة الخليجية.

وأصبحت الحكومة بصدد تغيير 40 قانوناً هذا العام. ومع ذلك، لم يوضح أي من التغييرات - التي تتعلق بالشركات التجارية، والأمن عبر الإنترنت، والتجارة، وحقوق التأليف والنشر، والإقامة، والمخدرات والقضايا الاجتماعية - كانت جديدة التي تم الإبلاغ عنها سابقا.

أحد التغييرات التي تبدو جديدة هو التصديق على قانون الجريمة والعقاب الفيدرالي، الذي يسري اعتباراً من 2 يناير 2022، المصمم لحماية النساء والموظفين المنزليين والسلامة العامة بشكل أفضل.

تريد دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة إصلاح نظامها القانوني للحفاظ على مزيّة تنافسية حيث تفتح المملكة العربية السُّعُودية، جارتها الخليجية المحافظة، نفسها أمام الاستثمار الأجنبي والمواهب.

تضمنت التغييرات الرئيسية حتى الآن إلغاء تجريم العلاقات الجنسية قبل الزواج واستهلاك الكحول، وإلغاء أحكام التساهل عند التعامل مع ما يسمى "جرائم الشرف" في نوفمبر 2020.

يضيف بيان السبت وضوحاً كان ينقصه سابقاً حالة العلاقات الجنسية قبل الزواج والأطفال المولودين منها - مشيراً إلى أن الوالدين ليسوا بحاجة إلى الزواج. "رويترز ¹"

وجاء في البيان أن "أي زوجين ينجبان طفلا خارج إطار الزواج سيطلب منهما الزواج أو الاعتراف بالطفل منفرداً أو مشتركا وتقديم أوراق الهُوِيَّة ووثائق السفر وفقاً لقوانين الدولة التي يكون أحدهما من رعاياها".

سيتم رفع قضية جنائية بالسجن لمدة عامين إذا لم يعترف الوالدان بالطفل ويعتني بهما. تشمل التغييرات الأخيرة التي أجرتها دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة تقديم تأشيرات طويلة الأجل كوسيلة لجذب المواهب والاحتفاظ بها وتشجيع المزيد من الشركات على إنشاء متجر.

BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, has sponsored the BuildHer CityHack 2025 Hackathon, a two-day event spearheaded by the College of Engineering and Technology at the Royal University for Women (RUW).
Aimed at secondary school students, the event brought together a distinguished group of academic professionals and technology experts to mentor and inspire young participants.
More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions. These activities were tailored to enhance participants’ critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and team-building capabilities, while also encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges using modern technological tools.
