Regarding the choice of Dr. Sanaa Shalaan (Bint Naima) as the first Arab writer for whom the website is launching an electronic profile, Dr. Najm Al-Saraji, the director and founder of "Banks of the Two Rivers," stated:

"The choice of the esteemed writer Dr. Sanaa Shalaan (Bint Naima), the sun of Arab literature, is motivated by our desire to shed light on her achievements; as she presents a distinctive literary experience that deserves attention and analysis, in addition to being one of the first contributors and supporters for the continuity of this blessed literary edifice 'Banks of the Two Rivers'. Yes, every diligent individual has a share when their determination precedes the paths of the shooting stars, and this is what our writer Sanaa Shalaan has done with her insistence as she navigates the paths of endeavor with unwavering determination, shining with her contributions like twinkling stars. She was also chosen because her writings have transcended traditional literary texts to delve into multiple humanitarian experiences, including resistance literature, children's literature, and discourse on doctrinal and social tolerance, using a style that combines depth and beauty, making her voice a genuine addition to the cultural scene."
