Jordan: A Symbol of Human Solidarity and Regional Challenge Management
Amidst regional challenges and the unjust blockade on Gaza, Jordan emerges as a bastion of human solidarity, offering vital support through steadfast willpower via the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization and the Armed Forces. Recently, a massive shipment of flour was delivered to Gaza, containing thousands of sacks essential for bread production—the primary food source for the population. Coordinated with local and international organizations, this shipment is not merely humanitarian aid but a symbol of Jordan’s resilience and practical solidarity.
Despite attempts by the occupation to obstruct aid, Jordan continues to play a leading role in breaking the blockade. Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince, the Jordanian Armed Forces undertook risky aerial operations to deliver medical and food supplies. Meanwhile, the Jordanian Charity Organization dispatches convoys by land carrying thousands of tons of vital materials. The two Jordanian field hospitals in Gaza serve as lifelines, providing treatment to hundreds of thousands and performing thousands of complex surgeries, filling the gap left by the collapse of healthcare services.
These efforts are not solely relief initiatives but affirm Jordan’s position as a guardian of the human cause. In the face of the blockade and media disinformation, Jordan persists in delivering aid and exposing false claims through well-documented statements, reaffirming its commitment to the Palestinian cause as a national and humanitarian duty. These endeavors are inscribed in the record of Palestinian resilience, reminding the world that Jordan stands beside humanity.
On another front, Jordan faces escalating security threats, particularly related to drug smuggling through its northern borders. The kingdom witnesses a surge in Captagon pills coming from Syria, which has become a major hub for drug production and export, supported by militias linked to the Iranian regime. These operations are managed with advanced means, such as drone aircraft, aiming to destabilize Jordan and neighboring countries. This trade is not just criminal but a political tool to fund militias and spread chaos, posing a serious threat to Jordan’s national security.
Jordan exerts intensive efforts to combat smuggling. The Jordanian Armed Forces have thwarted numerous attempts to smuggle millions of pills and engaged in clashes with armed traffickers. However, the scale of the challenge demands greater regional and international cooperation. Jordan has called for enhanced coordination with countries like Saudi Arabia and Iraq and urged the international community to pressure the Iranian regime to cease supporting these activities.
Jordan draws its humanitarian values from the story of Lady Mary (Mariam al-‘Adra’), who faced her people’s accusations with wisdom nearly 2,025 years ago. People refrained from hasty judgments, respecting innate human purity. Today, those teachings are being violated through the shedding of innocent blood. These same values inspire Jordanians to uphold justice and mercy in supporting our brothers and confronting the challenges.
In conclusion, Jordan remains a model of human solidarity and resilience—whether in supporting Gaza or combating drug smuggling. However, regional challenges, especially Iran’s interventions, require a fundamental solution. The fall of this regime will only occur with the support of the Iranian resistance led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi and her ten-year program. Such a fall will automatically pave the way for Iran to become a free, non-nuclear state living in peace with its neighbors and the world, thereby achieving the regional stability sought after.
