9 Syrians Martyred as They Resist Israeli Incursion in Daraa Countryside
استشهاد 10 سوريين في تصديهم للتوغل الإسرائيلي بريف درعا

Local Syrian media reported this morning, Thursday, that 9 Syrian citizens were martyred while participating in repelling the Israeli incursion along the axis of the town of Tsil in the western countryside of Daraa.

Information indicates the complete withdrawal of the attacking Israeli forces, which had been stationed near the national reserve (Tsil Forest), towards the "Tel Ahmar Gharbi" base and into the occupied Palestinian territories. Civil defense teams headed to the area where the clashes occurred to evacuate additional bodies near the national reserve.

Intense Israeli artillery shelling resumed around Tel Jumou, located between the city of Nawa and the town of Tsil in the western Daraa countryside. Sources reported that mosques in Nawa called for a general mobilization to confront the increasing Israeli incursion in Nawa and Jasim, while the skies over the area witnessed intense Israeli helicopter traffic.

In another development, the Israeli occupation forces shelled the Tel Ahmar area north of the town of Khan Arnaba in northern Quneitra with artillery shells.

For its part, the Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the recent Israeli aggressions in a statement, which resulted in nearly total destruction of the Hama military airport and injuries to dozens of civilians and military personnel. The ministry confirmed that these aggressions represent a "violation of international law and the sovereignty of the country."

The Israeli occupation had launched attacks on several sites in Damascus, Homs, and Hama yesterday, Wednesday, targeting the "Scientific Research Center" in the Masaken Barzeh area north of the capital, as well as the infrastructure of Hama military airport and the vicinity of the "T4" military airport in the Homs countryside.
