Al Hekma International School Celebrates 40 Years of Dedication

26 April 2025: Manama, Bahrain – Al Hekma International School (AHIS), a pioneer in quality education since 1985, proudly marks its 40th anniversary, celebrating four decades of academic distinction and student success. In recognition of its continued commitment to excellence, AHIS has recently received a “Good” rating with Outstanding Features from Bahrain’s Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA).
Fully accredited by the Bahrain Ministry of Education and three globally recognized institutions: Middle States Association (MSA), Cognia, and the International Baccalaureate (IB), AHIS continues to lead with innovation and strong academic standard. The school is also distinguished by Cognia STEM Certification, highlighting its dedication to forward-thinking, science and technology-focused education as well as MSA Service Learning certification that supports students’ engagement in global and local community initiatives.
In line with its growth and vision for the future, AHIS is also undertaking a major campus expansion for the next AY 2025-2026. The project will introduce new learning spaces, enhanced resources, and upgraded facilities, all designed to foster an enriched educational environment aligned with global standards.

BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, has sponsored the BuildHer CityHack 2025 Hackathon, a two-day event spearheaded by the College of Engineering and Technology at the Royal University for Women (RUW).
Aimed at secondary school students, the event brought together a distinguished group of academic professionals and technology experts to mentor and inspire young participants.
More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions. These activities were tailored to enhance participants’ critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and team-building capabilities, while also encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges using modern technological tools.
BENEFIT’s Chief Executive Mr. Abdulwahed AlJanahi, commented: “Our support for this educational hackathon reflects our long-term strategic vision to nurture the talents of emerging national youth and empower the next generation of accomplished female leaders in technology.
