Earthquake Strikes Istanbul

The Turkish Disaster Management Authority announced today, Wednesday, that a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck north of Istanbul at 12:49 PM local time.
In a statement, the authority noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Sea of Marmara, at a depth of 6.92 km beneath the sea surface.
