From Damascus to New York: Khamenei's Defeat and the Resistance's Victory
عاصم عبد الرحمن

The myth of the "strategic depth" of the Wilayat al-Faqih regime has fallen, revealing to the whole world the fragility of Khamenei’s rule and his religious fascism. The regime, which relied on terrorism and military interventions in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, is now facing complete collapse in the face of popular anger and uprisings. After the fall of Bashar al-Assad and the defeat of his army in just ten days, it has become clear that Khamenei’s regional allies are merely fragile tools incapable of confronting the will of the peoples.

Khamenei, who described his forces in Damascus, Beirut, Baghdad, and Sana’a as "the strategic depth," watched helplessly as images of his defeats crumbled before him. Assad’s fall was not merely a political defeat but a devastating earthquake that exposed the true nature of the Iranian regime: internal dictatorship, financial corruption, and failed external interference. The peoples of Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Lebanon paid a heavy price, while the regime amassed wealth and spread corruption in the name of religion.

The Iranian Resistance, led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, affirmed that “the dark era of the mullah regime has ended,” emphasizing that dismantling its branches in Iraq and other regional countries is a fundamental condition for liberating the Iranian people from this fascist rule. In a historic moment, the Syrian people tore apart images of Khamenei, Soleimani, and Nasrallah, declaring boundless hatred for all regional criminals linked to the blood of the innocent. These torn images were a clear announcement that show-of-force demonstrations before civilians mean nothing compared to the will of the peoples.

In a desperate attempt to cover up his failure, Khamenei tried to whitewash the blood of Qasem Soleimani, claiming that “defending the shrine” was legitimate. The truth is that the regime is the main driver of terrorism—responsible for the 2006 Samarra bombings, sectarian wars that destroyed Iraq, creating ongoing crises in the region, putting its interests above the blood of innocents and sacred sites.

On the international level, free Iranians are raising their voices in New York and world capitals, affirming that this regime does not represent the Iranian people and is merely an instrument of destruction and chaos. This international popular movement is not isolated; rather, it is a natural extension of internal uprisings and a clear sign that the Iranian people will no longer accept this regime, and change is inevitable.

Facts are becoming clearer day by day: Iran, under Khamenei’s rule, is the true head of the snake behind the wars and chaos in the Middle East. The regime’s exploitation of the Palestinian cause is just a smokescreen, while the religious fascism in Tehran continues to kill its own people and destroy the region. Khamenei, the greatest strategic loser, is on the brink of collapse. The time has come for him to pay the price of the bloodshed he has caused. The Iranian revolution is at the doorstep, victory is inevitable, and Arab and Iranian peoples will write the end of the mullahs’ rule with freedom and dignity.
