An official source reported Monday two military helicopters collided in Turkish airspace, causing one to crash with five military personnel aboard, while the other helicopter landed safely.

NTV television reported, citing Governor Abdullah Erin, that one injured person is receiving medical care at a health facility. Isparta province witnessed this unfortunate incident during routine maneuvers.

Reasons for helicopters' collision remain unclear, with Erin indicating investigations into incident circumstances have begun.

Recent developments in Turkish military helicopters collision indicate military experts team began examining crashed helicopter wreckage, alongside communications and radar data analysis to reveal tragic incident circumstances.

Turkish correspondent quoted informed military source, requesting anonymity, that helicopters were participating in routine training maneuvers conducted twice yearly in Isparta province airspace.

Source explained weather was clear at incident time, making weather factors unlikely cause according to initial estimates.

Incident coincided with Turkish Defense Ministry announcing comprehensive safety procedures review for aerial military training, forming specialized technical committee to evaluate communication and safety systems used in military helicopters.
