Israeli Incursion in Quneitra Countryside, Land Levelling and Temporary Arrest Reported
An Israeli patrol advanced Saturday morning into the village of al-Samdanieh al-Gharbiyah in central Quneitra countryside, composed of two tanks and two bulldozers accompanied by military vehicles, and reportedly carried out leveling of agricultural land in the area.
In a related incident, Israeli forces detained a young man Friday evening during raids on several houses on the outskirts of Jbabata al-Khashab in northern Quneitra countryside, conducting searches before releasing him hours later. No information has been provided about the reasons for the arrest or any charges.
These actions come amid ongoing Israeli movements and incursions in Quneitra countryside, frequently accompanied by raids, searches and arrests targeting civilians in several border villages and towns, raising local fears about repeated violations and their impact on security and livelihoods.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented an Israeli military advance into Jbabata al-Khashab on Friday evening, reporting that the force entered the town’s outskirts and searched a number of houses.
