Israeli Incursion into Saida Al-Hanout Village and Escalation of Tensions Along the Syrian Border

On Sunday morning, a patrol of 10 military vehicles affiliated with the Israeli army conducted an infiltration into Saida Al-Hanout village in the southern countryside of Quneitra. Israeli forces set up a checkpoint that lasted for nearly an hour, during which they questioned passersby about the presence of possible weapons and ammunition in the area, before withdrawing without any notable clashes or confrontations.
Repeated Israeli infiltrations into the southern border areas contribute to increasing ongoing tension and subject civilians to continual harassment and extortion. Regarding recent developments, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported last night that Israeli forces threw flares south of Jbata Al-Khashab quarries in the northern countryside of Quneitra. Additionally, the region experienced intense Israeli reconnaissance drone flights, reflecting a rise in military activity near the Syrian-Israeli border and heightening regional anxiety and tension.
