Israeli Incursions in Southern Syria Escalate Amid Military Tensions
Today, a new Israeli incursion was observed, involving four military vehicles heading toward the Saida Al Hanout area in Daraa countryside. They set up a temporary checkpoint to inspect passersby before retreating without any clashes. This comes amid rising tensions on the southern Syrian front, with increased Israeli air activity overhead.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported yesterday a Israeli force consisting of three tanks and several vehicles near the Al-Suqri checkpoint at the start of the Ouster Route, originating from the destroyed Quneitra base. Additionally, four tanks advanced toward the Al-Samdaniah village in Quneitra countryside, accompanied by a military convoy, and set up an air barrier on the road between Jaba and Khan Arnaba, conducting searches and restrictions on movement, with no reports of arrests, amid ongoing drone and military aircraft flyovers.
