Israeli-Iranian Conflict: Reciprocal Bombings and Targeting of the Fordo Nuclear Facility

The Israeli-Iranian conflict is experiencing a new escalation as it enters its eleventh day, with ongoing mutual attacks between the two sides, intensifying today, Monday. Iran launched missile strikes targeting several areas in Israel, which was then responded to by Israel with airstrikes on sites inside Iranian territory.
The Israeli military announced the beginning of a series of strikes against military targets in Tehran, including the Fordo nuclear facility, according to an Iranian official. Loud explosions were heard in northern Tehran, with smoke plumes rising from various regions. Local reports indicated that Israel targeted the Iranian Red Crescent building, as well as a technical facility belonging to the Iranian Radio and Television Organization.
In the same context, sirens were heard in several areas in northern Israel after Iran launched a new batch of missiles, leading to an increase in tensions. Arabic and News agency correspondents reported that five waves of Iranian missiles were launched toward Israel, with estimates of around 15 missiles fired in four waves. Targets included the cities of Ashdod, northern Israel, and areas south near Jerusalem, with reports of some missiles falling in different regions.
This escalation reflects the ongoing state of conflict between the two sides, with continued attacks and responses, amid fears of increased targeting of vital and military infrastructure in the region. The prospects for a de-escalation appear diminished, as the situation continues to intensify significantly.
