Israeli Military Incursion in Quneitra Countryside Amid Syrian Official Silence

The central countryside of Quneitra province witnessed a new Israeli military movement this morning, marked by a ground incursion toward the village of Al-Halabi, as part of a continuing pattern of Israeli field operations in southern Syria.
According to local sources, Israeli forces set up a temporary military checkpoint on the main road near the entrance to the village. Several soldiers were also observed deployed in the vicinity of an abandoned military post that had previously belonged to the former Syrian regime forces and is located near the area.
This development comes amid repeated Israeli incursions in the border region, with no official statement issued by Syrian authorities at the time of this report—heightening uncertainty and anxiety among local residents.
On July 21, a similar incursion occurred near the town of Al-Rafid in the Quneitra countryside. An Israeli patrol entered Syrian territory, with three four-wheel-drive military vehicles advancing through the Al-Asha – Al-Rafid road, coming from the village of Al-Asha. The event caused heightened alert and tension in the area at the time.
These movements reflect an undeclared escalation by Israeli forces in southern Syria, raising questions about the nature and objectives of their operations—especially amid the continued silence from the Syrian government and military forces stationed in the region.
