The spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the Israeli Security Cabinet will hold a meeting on Tuesday evening in Jerusalem to discuss several important issues.

Israeli media reported that the meeting will review a plan to occupy the city of Gaza, as well as explore the possibility of resuming negotiations for a ceasefire and efforts to release detainees in the sector.

Meanwhile, activists from the Israeli Detainees Families Forum called for protests today on the sidelines of the Security Council meeting to express their demands.

In the context of escalation, Palestinian medical sources in Gaza reported the death of at least 20 Palestinians due to Israeli bombing targeting various areas since Tuesday morning. A correspondent for Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels stated that at least 100 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours, amid increasing military operations in the sector.

The correspondent also reported that the Israeli army is conducting complete demolitions of residential neighborhoods, including the Al-Zaitoun and Al-Saboura neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City, as part of the escalation of military operations.

The war in Gaza has intensified since Hamas launched an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the death of more than 1,219 Israelis, according to official Israeli figures.

On the other hand, the number of Palestinian casualties caused by Israeli military operations has exceeded 62,744, most of whom are civilians, according to the latest statistics from the Gaza Ministry of Health.
