Joint Security Operation in Raqqa Countryside: Arrest of Suspects Linked to ISIS

International coalition forces, in collaboration with the Syrian Democratic Forces, launched a joint security operation in the town of Salhabiyeh located in western Raqqa countryside, resulting in the arrest of several individuals wanted on charges of belonging to the "Islamic State" organization.
According to sources from the Syrian Observatory, the joint forces raided multiple locations in the town and apprehended the suspects before escorting them to a secure facility for further investigation.
This operation comes as part of an escalating security campaign in areas under the control of the SDF, where forces are intensifying operations against ISIS cells amid concerns over the group's growing activity in the region.
In a related context, the Internal Security Forces' General Security Directorate executed a security operation on March 12, supported by air assistance from international coalition forces, resulting in the arrest of a prominent ISIS leader in the village of Al-Hawrah near Raqqa city.
The operation was launched following extensive surveillance regarding the movements of the targeted leader, with the airborne insertion executed simultaneously with the ground movement of security forces, leading to his arrest without any casualties reported.
