During its first session following the arrest of a "sabotage cell," the Jordanian House of Representatives called on Monday for "purging the national arena of all impurities." This demand underscores the legislature’s firm stance against any threats to the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom.

Several MPs emphasized that "the terrorist cell’s confessions prove its ties to the Muslim Brotherhood," warning of the group’s dangers and its declared allegiance to external entities. The parliamentary position highlights escalating concerns over foreign-linked political organizations and their potential impact on Jordan’s national security.

Lawmakers urged the Islamic Action Front (the Brotherhood’s political arm in Jordan) to sever its affiliation with the group, aligning with broader calls to disentangle domestic politics from external organizational ties.

House Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi praised the General Intelligence Directorate and security agencies for apprehending the cell, which aimed to "undermine the country’s security and stability." His remarks reaffirm the security apparatus’s role in maintaining internal peace and preemptively countering threats.

Al-Safadi also reiterated Jordan’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause, stressing that "the law will hold accountable anyone attempting to exploit this position for political gains."
