Mass Executions of Druze Citizens in Sweida
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has released a video documenting a mass execution carried out by elements of the Syrian Ministry of Defense against seven Druze citizens, including a young man holding American nationality. Additionally, armed groups affiliated with Hikmat Hgjri carried out similar executions.
In detail, the execution took place in Tishreen Square in the city of Sweida, where the victims were forced to kneel before being densely shot, while the perpetrators shouted religious phrases, most notably “Allahu Akbar.”
Sweida residents managed to identify one of the victims through the recorded footage and informed the Syrian Observatory that the victim is the American citizen (H.S.).
The incident is linked to the day when government forces stormed the city of Sweida, as part of the recent military escalation in the area.
Meanwhile, an armed group affiliated with Sheikh Hikmat Hgjri carried out field executions of several individuals reportedly loyal to the new Syrian government.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights denounces this heinous crime in the strongest terms, reaffirming its call for the international community to establish an independent UN investigation committee to examine the violations in Sweida, hold those responsible accountable, and seek justice for the victims.
