Media Campaign by the Syrian Community in New York to Document War Crimes

Organizations and individuals from the Syrian community residing in the United States have launched a wide-scale media campaign in New York City, aimed at shedding light on the ongoing suffering of the Syrian people and the crimes committed against them in recent months. This campaign is part of efforts to raise awareness, express solidarity with the victims, support calls for justice, and end violence in Syria.
The campaign features documentary films and visual recordings that highlight massacres and crimes against humanity carried out by the Syrian regime forces and their militias, which have caused widespread destruction and countless human tragedies. These films serve as living testimonies to the brutality experienced by the Syrian people and come at a time when international calls for investigation and accountability are increasing.
Members of the Syrian community in America expressed optimism and determination to make a difference. They confirmed that twenty-six vehicles will be part of this campaign, roaming the streets of New York for three consecutive days, aiming to reach as many people as possible and raise awareness about the Syrian cause. They also pointed out that these vehicles represent the delegation of the Syrian transitional authorities, with the number of delegation members equal to the number of participating vehicles, reflecting unity in efforts and their commitment to remind the international community of the situation of the Syrian people.
Participants added that the campaign is part of broader efforts to exert more international pressure on relevant parties to stop the violence and achieve justice for the martyrs and victims. They emphasized that the voice of the Syrian people will not be silenced, and their presence in the streets is a clear message that they will not ignore the suffering of their compatriots. They reaffirm their commitment to the Syrian dream of a free and democratic homeland.
The organizing committee expects this campaign to touch the conscience of the New York audience and to stimulate discussion within political and media circles, in support of a political solution and emphasizing the necessity of continued pressure on involved parties to halt the bloodshed and find a permanent resolution to the Syrian crisis.
