Real Madrid Secures Hard-Fought Victory Over Athletic Bilbao

Real Madrid managed to win a hard-fought match against Athletic Bilbao with a last-minute goal during the 32nd round of La Liga, in a game held on Sunday evening at the "Santiago Bernabéu" Stadium.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, with defensive caution dominating the match and numerous missed opportunities from both teams.

Real Madrid had to wait until the third minute of stoppage time (90+3) to score their only goal, which was netted by Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde, leading the royal team to a valuable victory over their Basque visitors.

The match witnessed the disallowance of a goal scored by Brazilian Vinícius Júnior in the 79th minute, as the referee decided to cancel it after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

With this win, Real Madrid raised their points tally to 69 from 32 matches, remaining in second place, four points behind league leaders Barcelona, while Athletic Bilbao stayed in fourth place with 57 points, trailing six points behind third-placed Atletico Madrid.
