Russian forces control two new towns in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Wednesday, that Russian troops have taken control of two new towns in Ukraine's Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The ministry reported that Russian forces succeeded in liberating the town of Novobahmutivka in Donetsk and the town of Alexivka in Dnipropetrovsk as part of a broad military offensive.
In its statement, the Ministry explained that units from the Russian Central Group conducted active attacks that improved control over Novobahmutivka, while forces from the Eastern Group continued their advance deep into Ukrainian defenses, managing to liberate Alexivka. It added that units from the Northern Group continued pushing into Ukrainian defensive positions, targeting Ukrainian troop gatherings and equipment in various areas of Sumy and Kharkiv.
The ministry noted that Ukrainian casualties amounted to around 190 killed, with several combat vehicles and field artillery destroyed, along with an electronic reconnaissance station and nine ammunition and supply warehouses.
Russian defense forces had announced yesterday, Tuesday, the liberation of the town of Balahan in Donetsk, amid ongoing military operations that reflect an escalation of Russian efforts on the Ukrainian battlefields and an expansion of control over adjacent areas.
