The Sudanese Army announced today, Saturday, that it has made significant field progress in the ongoing battles in the heart of the capital, Khartoum.

In a statement by the official spokesperson for the Sudanese forces, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, it was announced that they had taken control of the headquarters of the National Intelligence and Security Service and the Strategic Facilities Administration in Khartoum. Abdullah confirmed that the Sudanese forces continue to apply pressure on the Rapid Support Forces, noting that control included the Corinthia Hotel and the Strategic Facilities Administration.

The brigadier highlighted that the Sudanese forces succeeded in clearing the headquarters of the National Intelligence Service, achieving further successes by eliminating hundreds of hostile elements trying to flee through pockets in central Khartoum.

He added that the Sudanese Army has tightened control over many strategic sites, including the Zain Tower, the Bank of Sudan, the Coastal and Sahara Bank, the Cooperative Tower, Al-Bayan College, the Museum, and Sudan University, in addition to the Friendship Hall.

Military sources also reported that the Sudanese Army had previously managed to cut off supply routes for the Rapid Support Forces from southern Khartoum using aircraft and artillery. In a statement issued by the Sudanese Army on Friday, they confirmed the defeat of the Rapid Support Forces in key areas, including central Khartoum, the Arab Market, the Republican Palace buildings, and the ministries.
