The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement regarding the meeting between its commander-in-chief, Mazloum Abdi, and the committee formed by Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara to complete the agreement between the government and the SDF.

The SDF confirmed in the statement published on its official website that "our forces' commander-in-chief, Mazloum Abdi, met today, Wednesday, with the committee formed by Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara to finalize the agreement between the Syrian administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces."

Participating in the meeting was Ruhalatan Afrin, a member of the SDF's general leadership and an expert in women's protection units, along with Hussein Salama, the head of the government committee, and several members from both sides.

According to the SDF, discussions during the meeting included the exchange of opinions and the mechanism for the work of the committees, which are scheduled to begin their activities jointly at the start of April. The constitutional declaration was also discussed, emphasizing the necessity of including all Syrian components to ensure that no party is excluded in shaping Syria's future and writing its constitution, while underscoring the importance of a ceasefire throughout the country.

Earlier today, the Syrian News Channel reported that the meeting between the government committee and representatives of the Syrian Democratic Forces took place at the American base in Al-Shaddadi, located in the rural areas of Al-Hasakah province in northeastern Syria.

On March 10, the Syrian presidency announced that an agreement had been signed to integrate the Syrian Democratic Forces into the institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic.
