Syrian passport ranks last in the Arab world for travel freedom
جواز السفر السوري

The Syrian passport ranked last among Arab countries, according to the “Passport Reports” ranking, which compares how easily Arab passport holders can travel based on destinations they can enter visa-free, with a visa on arrival, or with an electronic travel authorization.

According to a review seen by Enab Baladi on Tuesday, October 13, the United Arab Emirates topped the list, followed by Qatar and Kuwait. Iraq ranked 21st, Yemen 20th, and Syria 22nd among the 22 Arab countries.

The ranking covers only member states of the League of Arab States and does not match the global ranking, which includes passports from other countries. Membership in the League also does not automatically grant visa-free access; entry requirements vary by destination.

“Passport Reports” describes itself as an independent, non-profit platform providing information and research on passport strength and travel requirements. It says it does not represent government bodies or official visa authorities.
