The Struggle for Justice; A Date with the Triumph of the Popular Will

The 12-day war ended with a fragile ceasefire, leaving many questions about the next steps. Will the hopes of the Iranian people and their resistance for an uprising that topples the dictatorship come true? Where will the decisive battle take place, and is it imminent? Who will be the victor and who will be the defeated in this struggle?
The Arena of True Confrontation
History has proven that the primary conflict is not between Iran’s ruling regime and foreign forces. Negotiating with this regime does not constitute a solution, as both approaches have contributed to maintaining the regime’s dominance. The recent 12-day war has reinforced this truth. Based on this understanding, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the elected President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, during the conflict, announced a “proposal for a ceasefire and ending the war as a step toward the third solution: neither war nor appeasement, paving the way for the Iranian people to overthrow Khamenei’s regime themselves in a decisive battle,” without any external intervention.
Iran is the main battleground. Although the repercussions of this conflict have extended beyond borders, the true winner will be the force deeply rooted in Iranian society. There is no room for doubt, despair, or deception in this natural path. Transient forces come with flashy slogans but quickly fade like foam on water’s surface. The 2022 uprising and the recent war are clear evidence of this.
Overthrowing the Diktatorship
A deep understanding of the uprising in Iran shows that overthrowing the religious dictatorship requires an alternative firmly rooted in Iran and with ongoing external extensions. The primary conflict is not nuclear, religious, national, or solely about human rights or the livelihood of the people. It revolves around “freedom,” and all other issues are consequences of its absence in a country deprived of freedom. The wider repercussions of the conflict stem from the regime’s hostility to liberty.
The dictatorial regime began by suppressing freedom, and today it seeks to possess nuclear weapons, enforces repression, violates human rights, destroys the livelihood of the people, expands its military influence, and creates and exports crises. History confirms this pattern. Therefore, authoritarian regimes fear “freedom” more than anything else. They target its advocates with brutal repression, and the Iranian people reject all forms of dictatorship.
The Cost of Freedom
Freedom is not free; it is closely linked to independence and demands a heavy price. Over the decades, we have seen how much the Iranian resistance has paid—more than 120,000 martyrs, including victims of the 1988 genocide, where over 30,000 political prisoners were murdered by this fascist regime. These sacrifices are just part of the cost. Since the fall of the Shah’s regime and up to the rise of the Supreme Leader’s dictatorship in 1979, hundreds of thousands of Iranians, especially members of the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran, have been martyred. This organization has remained at the forefront of resisting dictatorship, overcoming countless obstacles rooted in the principles of “freedom” and “independence,” paying a hefty price to advance steadily in its struggle to achieve its goals.
Unshakeable Resistance
Despite the challenges, the Iranian resistance, with its steadfast stronghold in “Ashraf 3,” continues to persist, thrive, and shine, alongside thousands of “Uprising Units” affiliated with the People’s Mujahedin inside Iran. They are active daily in political, civil, and military operations. In its desperation, the regime resorts to unjust arrests, baseless accusations, and brutal torture to conceal its fear of this growing force. However, the deep roots of resistance within society make it the hope for salvation and the only real alternative.
A Look Toward the Future
Today, the regime is at its weakest due to internal failures. The Iranian people and their resistance are the key to overthrowing this dictatorship. Any force seeking to stand with history must support this struggle for justice. The path to freedom is clear—it is in the hands of the united and resilient Iranian people who strive toward a prosperous democratic future.
