20 People Injured in American Plane Crash
تحطم طائرة

A tragic incident occurred in Tennessee on Sunday when a plane used for skydiving crashed, resulting in injuries to 20 people, including passengers and crew. No fatalities have been reported.

The twin-engine aircraft, a De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter, crashed at Tullahoma Airport south of Nashville, according to local and federal authorities.

City spokesperson Lyle Russell told AFP that the incident did not result in any deaths. He stated that all passengers and crew on board were injured, with three of them airlifted to hospitals via helicopters, while another was seriously hurt and transported by ground. The rest sustained minor injuries and received immediate treatment from rescue teams. He confirmed that there was no damage to airport facilities or infrastructure, and there were no reports of injuries among ground residents.

As investigations continue, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced it is probing the incident. Tennessee highway officials also stated via X (formerly Twitter) that they are assisting with the investigation at the scene on Old Shelbyville Road in Covert County, central Tennessee.

Social media images showed a small white aircraft, with its front entryway and tail section detached, embedded in the grass — a scene illustrating the severity and scale of the crash.
