Father of Missing Israeli Soldier: What He Said
تصريحات والد الجندي الإسرائيلي المخطوف: ماذا قال

Shagai Anigrast, father of the kidnapped Israeli soldier Motan Anigrast, stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured them that the Israeli government prioritizes ending the war as soon as the hostages are released, according to the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" on Sunday.

Anigrast spoke about his recent visit to the United States, saying: "We returned from Washington after intensive meetings with senior officials in the US administration and the Prime Minister, but discussions are still ongoing."

In an interview with Ynet Studio, he added: "We met with Adam Boller, the deputy special envoy for President Donald Trump, who explicitly confirmed that the first phase is a process, and that they will proceed directly afterward with ending the war."

Anigrast mentioned that all officials, including the Israeli Prime Minister, assured them that their goal is "finding a solution to end the war as soon as the hostages are released."

In a different context, Israel and Hamas exchanged accusations on Saturday regarding the stalled negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Israeli sources reported that Israel accepted a Qatari proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, but Hamas rejected it, according to the Israeli channel "12."

The channel quoted a source as saying: "The negotiations have not stopped, and the Israeli negotiating team remains in Doha."

Conversely, a senior Hamas official told CNN that the negotiations have "stalled," attributing this to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who keeps adding new conditions each time, with the latest being the new deployment maps of the occupation forces in Gaza.
