First Comment from Katz After the Aerial Infiltration in Damascus

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced today, Thursday, that the Israeli Defense Forces are working continuously on all fronts to protect the country's security. This statement came in response to reports about an operational infiltration around Damascus.
Katz's remarks were made via the "X" platform, where he said: "Our forces are operating in all combat zones day and night to ensure Israel's security," without providing further details about the operation.
Regarding the infiltration, Israeli Channel "Kan" reported that the operation targeted an air defense base on Jabal Maan in southwest Damascus, which was used by Iranian forces during Assad's era, as part of escalating Israeli military operations against Iranian targets in the region.
Sources told Sky News Arabia that Syrian forces discovered on Tuesday monitoring and listening devices in the area. When they attempted to deal with them, the site was struck by an Israeli air attack, resulting in the death of 7 Syrian soldiers. Our correspondent explained that Syrian forces were trying to destroy those weapons, but Israeli fighter jets directly targeted them with multiple raids during the two-hour operation before departing from the area.
Additionally, two Syrian military sources told Reuters that an Israeli unit carried out an aerial infiltration in a strategic elevated area southwest of Damascus. They added that the operation lasted two hours before Israeli aircraft withdrew from the site.
These developments reflect escalating tensions between the two sides, amid ongoing Israeli military operations targeting both Iranian and Syrian targets, with details of the operation and its fate remaining uncertain.
