Global Business Magazine Announces Emirati-Syrian Engineer Walid Al Zoubi Joins Billionaires List with a Net Worth of $3.4 Billion

The world’s largest media organization specializing in business and billionaire news has announced, through its flagship magazine in New York, the inclusion of Emirati-Syrian engineer Walid Mohammed Al Zoubi in its global list of billionaires, following verification of his financial data, shares, companies, and tangible business presence on the ground.
According to the new ranking, Al Zoubi’s net worth is USD 3.4 billion, placing him 1,144th globally in terms of wealth.
Career Path and Notable Achievements
Al Zoubi serves as Chairman of Tiger Group in the United Arab Emirates — a diversified company with activities spanning construction, real estate development, hospitality, tourism, building materials manufacturing, agriculture, and education.
A civil engineer by training, Al Zoubi founded Tiger Group in 1976 as a contracting company, before expanding into real estate development in 1996. In 2006, the group further diversified into new sectors, and by 2014 had become one of the leading developers in Dubai and Sharjah.
Since its establishment, the group has developed more than 50,000 apartments, and is currently constructing around 20,000 additional units, along with office and commercial spaces across the UAE.
In 2024, the group announced the launch of the “Sky Tower” project, set to become the tallest residential tower in the world at 1,745 feet, scheduled for completion in late 2029.
