Special Forces of the SDF Detain a Leader of ISIS in Rural Aleppo

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by the international coalition, carried out a security operation yesterday in the town of Muskena in eastern Aleppo countryside, resulting in the arrest of Ahmed Hassan Al-Hussein, one of the leaders of the Islamic State (ISIS). This operation followed precise monitoring and investigation of his movements, during which a tight security cordon was imposed around the targeted site.
Al-Hussein is accused of activating ISIS cells in the region and carrying out sudden attacks against military forces and civilians. He was transferred to a specialized security agency amid widespread security alert and heightened tension in the area.
In a related development, special forces from the SDF, in coordination with the coalition, carried out a simultaneous air assault in the villages of Takihe and Al-Atal in Deir ez-Zor eastern countryside. Security forces were deployed heavily, a full security cordon was imposed, and intense aircraft patrols were conducted, along with appeals to residents to stay inside their homes. No reports have been received so far about any arrests during these operations.
These efforts are part of ongoing campaigns to track down ISIS in the areas of northern and northeastern Syria.
