Young Woman Dies Following Alleged Medical Error Amid Accusations of a Cover-Up
Local sources told *Suwayda 24* that 32-year-old Saba al-Tawil died after being admitted to Suwayda National Hospital on Monday following a scorpion sting.
According to the sources, al-Tawil was given an antivenom serum without first undergoing an allergy test. They said this led to a severe allergic reaction, followed by cardiac arrest and her death.
The sources accused medical staff of treating the incident as “an act of fate” and closing the case internally without launching an investigation or taking disciplinary action, describing this as an alleged cover-up of a medical error.
