Syrian Artists Shine at the Joy Awards in Riyadh

Five Syrian artists achieved notable accomplishments at the "Joy Awards," held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, where a large number of Arab and international stars attended the event.
Artist Yasser Al-Azmeh received the "Lifetime Achievement Award," and during his speech to the audience, he pointed out that "Syria taught him that sincere words, noble stances, and constructive criticism are the foundation of all creativity." He explained that his famous series "Miraya" reflects everything the Arab viewer needs to understand, emphasizing that art is a window through which we view the positives and negatives of our reality. He added that his honor highlights his colleagues and mentors who have left clear imprints in all parts of "Miraya."
Director Rasha Shurbaji also received the "Favorite Series Director" award for her series "Awlad Badia," expressing her gratitude to the city of Riyadh for its role in spreading joy among people. She dedicated the award to her country, Syria, and its free people, as well as to those who contributed to building a free Syria.
For his part, star Samer Ismail won the "Favorite Actor" award for his role in the series "The Agent." After receiving the award, he confirmed that over the past years, their aim as Syrians has been to carry their country with them everywhere, noting that "Syria today is free and longs for you," while expressing his hope to meet the audience in his homeland.
In a related context, singer Assala Nasri received the "Favorite Artist" award, commending Saudi Arabia's role in supporting art across various fields. She affirmed that the "Joy Awards" festival has become associated with her as an opportunity to provide answers to many questions posed throughout the year, praising her efforts in the art field.
Narin Beauty was also honored with the "Favorite Influencer" award, stating that belief in oneself, ambition, and patience are the keys to achieving dreams, and noting that God's plans are always better than our own.

Outstanding projects will be formally recognised and awarded at the conclusion of the event.
