The (SDF) detain three ISIS members in Deir Ezzor countryside during a security campaign

On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a security operation resulting in the arrest of three ISIS members in Takiha town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside. This brings the total number of detainees since the beginning of the year to approximately 100 people.
This operation was the result of precise monitoring of the movement of the elements, who were planning to carry out terrorist attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region. The statement clarified that the military force surrounded the site tightly and arrested the individuals without any logistical impacts or injuries.
The statement also indicated that the forces continuously monitor weapons and signs indicating the presence of the captured ISIS members, confirming that they were planning attacks and aiming to destabilize the region.
SDF relies on its strategy to maintain security in northern and eastern Syria through national and humanitarian readiness, continuing to pursue remnants of ISIS and its sleeper cells to reduce threats.
In a related context, the military commander of SDF revealed that five of its fighters were killed last September as a result of an attack by an ISIS terrorist network that targeted their position in the Al-Bahr Al-Mutawassit town east of Deir Ezzor.
Since the beginning of the year, SDF forces have continued their efforts against ISIS, managing to arrest more than 95 terrorists, including three leaders, in addition to killing six terrorists.
