The UAE We Love: A Record of Heroism and Sacrifice

Recently published by Dar Bayt Al-Yasmin for Publishing and Distribution, the book "The UAE We Love" by Yemeni writer and politician Mohammed Yahya Al-Faqiay offers a tribute filled with gratitude and appreciation for the UAE’s prominent role in Yemen and around the world.
The book presents a comprehensive overview of the journey of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the efforts of the founding fathers—chiefly Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on them—through dedicated chapters that discuss their rich legacy and the historical foundation that shaped the UAE’s economic strength and human development.
It also sheds light on modern UAE leadership, including the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, and the current rulers—His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed, may God preserve them—focusing on their roles in enhancing the country’s position in the fields of economy, education, health, energy, and technology. The book highlights the UAE’s urban renaissance, transforming the nation into a global model characterized by stability and prosperity.
A significant portion of the book documents the UAE’s humanitarian and relief efforts, especially through programs run by the UAE Red Crescent, with a focus on supporting Yemen, Sudan, Palestine, and other nations that have benefited from Emirati humanitarian initiatives.
In the realm of historical documentation, the book emphasizes the UAE’s humanitarian and developmental role in Yemen—particularly in combating the Houthi militias, rebuilding liberated areas, and aiding those affected. It also honors the loyal UAE martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fields of heroism to defend Yemen’s freedom and dignity. Their noble blood reflects deep fraternal bonds and embodies the values of sacrifice and dedication.
The book weaves these narratives with touching stories of the martyrs, hopeful that their sacrifices will continue to inspire unity and solidarity. It affirms that the blood of Emirati martyrs, alongside that of their Yemeni brothers, has become a symbol of shared destiny and noble values — an obligation for future generations to uphold the path of sacrifice.
At the conclusion of his remarks, author Al-Faqiay said: “The book ‘The UAE We Love’ is a celebratory and documentary tribute that highlights the journey of the United Arab Emirates and underscores its exceptional status in the hearts of Yemenis and Arabs alike. I wrote it out of gratitude and loyalty, combining historical documentation, political analysis, and a humanitarian perspective. It is not just a book, but a cry of loyalty, and a mirror that reflects the love and deep bonds between the Emirati and Yemeni peoples—bonds that are not shaken by malicious campaigns or political changes. It is an honest expression of thanks and pride in the noble stances of the UAE and its historic role in shaping the future of Yemen and the region.”
