Warnings of Pressure on Refugees at Hmeimim Airport Amid Reports of Serious Violations
مطار حميميم

Pressure is increasing on Syrian refugees who have sought refuge at Hmeimim Airport, amid intensive attempts to force them out through various means, including temptations and false promises, according to field sources and testimonies from within.

Informed sources have confirmed that there is significant focus from the authorities controlling the airport to persuade the refugees to leave, while videos and leaked testimonies from inside the airport emphasize the gravity of the situation and the serious violations faced by those present there.

According to unconfirmed reports, at least two individuals who left the airport have been killed, raising concerns about the fate of those who decide to exit. At the same time, some media outlets continue to promote inaccurate narratives about the presence of "remnants," in an attempt to distort the facts and justify the pressures on the refugees.

Human rights activists confirm to Levant News the necessity of keeping the refugees at the airport under international protection, warning against attempts to disperse them or return them to unsafe areas.
