A New Glory for Morocco: The Youth National Team Wins the 2025 World Cup
The Moroccan youth national team achieved a historic milestone by winning the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Chile, early Monday morning. Yasser Zaberi scored two goals in the first half, leading his team to a 2-0 victory over Argentina in the final.
This global title is the first for the Moroccan team and a historic achievement for Arab football, as it is the first-ever crown won by an Arab national team in FIFA tournaments.
Thanks to this victory, Morocco became the first Arab country to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and the second African country after Ghana, which achieved the title in 2009.
Yasser Zaberi, the Moroccan youth team player, was the real hero of the match, scoring the first goal in the 12th minute from a direct free kick, followed by the second in the 29th minute. He now holds the record as the top scorer in the tournament with five goals.
