Continuing Suspension of Syrian Airlines Flights
الخطوط الجوية السورية

Syrian Airlines has continued to suspend all flights today, Sunday, June 15, due to the ongoing escalation between Iran and Israel and the closure of airspace to flight movement. This comes amid deteriorating security conditions in the region, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

In a statement released late yesterday, Saturday, Syrian Airlines announced the suspension of all flights "until further notice," indicating that this decision was made in coordination with civil aviation authorities to prevent accidents or risks during the difficult security situation.

The company urged travelers to follow updates through official channels or contact reservation and inquiry offices to obtain details about scheduled flights and possible rescheduling, ensuring passengers are informed of the latest developments related to their flight schedules.

Previously, the Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation announced a temporary closure of the airspace until 8 a.m. on Sunday due to security tensions in the region. Later, it was announced that Syrian airspace had been fully reopened after the conditions that necessitated the closure had ended. The authority confirmed that the airspace is now safe and operating according to international safety standards, in an effort to restore normal air traffic and strengthen stability in air transport within the country.
