Escalation of Israeli Intrusions and Attacks in Syrian Territories
The Israeli forces continue to escalate their assaults inside Syrian territory, as military units carried out an infiltration into the village of Ma’araya, part of the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside. They established a temporary checkpoint on the eastern side of the village and stopped passersby for inspection, while other forces spread towards the villages of Kouya and Abdeen.
In a related development, an Israeli patrol consisting of five military vehicles infiltrated into the eastern Samdaniyah village in the Quneitra countryside. They set up a checkpoint to inspect passersby, and Israeli forces were seen stationed around the area, with drones flying over the skies.
These movements are part of a series of violations and repeated assaults carried out by Israel inside Syrian territory, which have significantly increased since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, 2024. These attacks included cross-border incursions into border villages in Daraa, Quneitra, and Damascus countryside, as well as frequent aerial strikes. This escalation reflects the deteriorating situation in the region following recent political changes.
