Fadi Saqr Under House Arrest at the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus
Al-Modon reported that security officials asked Fadi Saqr to remain inside his suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus after photos of him circulated. They reportedly barred him from leaving, even to get food.
According to the report, Saqr spent three months in the suite without going out, following instructions from security officials. The outlet cited a security source as saying that officials from the security and intelligence services are directly protecting him, despite the allegations linking him to the Tadamon massacre case.
The source added that, according to Al-Modon, the security detail is connected to Saqr’s cooperation in uncovering files related to officers from the former Assad regime and helping arrest several of them in villages along Syria’s coast.
