Germany: Fire at Zabrücken Hospital Causes Injuries

Approximately 20 people suffered minor injuries following a fire at a hospital in the German city of Zabrücken. A city spokesperson reported that the fire broke out in a patient's room on the first floor of the main building around 5:30 PM on Friday. Several injured individuals were immediately transported to nearby hospitals, including a member of the rescue team among the injured.
The spokesperson also announced that the entire building was evacuated, as about 100 people left due to the damage caused by the fire, which rendered the building completely unusable. Some patients were transferred to other healthcare facilities.
While fire crews managed to extinguish the fire after intensive efforts, approximately 130 personnel from fire, ambulance, police, and civil defense participated in the operation. The police have not yet issued any details about the causes of the fire, confirming that investigations are still ongoing.
