Iran Has Won: First Statement from Khamenei After Ceasing War with Israel
In his first public statement since the announcement of the end of the war between Iran and Israel, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei affirmed that Iran achieved a victory over Israel.
On the X platform, Khamenei congratulated the great Iranian people, saying: “Congratulations on the victory over the Zionist regime.” He added that the Zionist regime, despite all the claims and noise, has collapsed under the strikes of the Islamic Republic and has turned to rubble.
He also pointed out that the United States did not achieve any accomplishments by joining the war against Iran, considering that Iran delivered a “sharp blow” to the U.S., and that the effectiveness of their intervention was driven by fear of Israel’s complete destruction.
Khamenei’s absence from the media for about a week had sparked a state of anticipation amid mounting tensions with the United States and Israel. These statements come after Trump announced on Tuesday that an agreement had been reached to cease fire between Israel and Iran.
