Israeli Army Conducts Arrest Operation on Mount Hermon in Quneitra Province
الجيش الإسرائيلي يشن عملية اعتقال في جبل الشيخ بمحافظة القنيطرة

Israeli forces carried out a raid yesterday, Wednesday, on sites affiliated with the former Syrian regime on the slopes of Mount Hermon, also known as Jabal al-Shaykh, within the occupied territories of the Golan Heights west of the village of Bqash. The operation resulted in the arrest of several suspects, in addition to seizing various weapons.

Sources indicated that the suspects were active in arms trafficking and smuggling between Syria and Lebanon. Meanwhile, the occupation forces continued search operations to ensure no other weapons caches were hidden in the area, and they are still conducting operations there.

In a related development, the region witnessed a military infiltration by Israel, including the establishment of a military point near the intersection of the village of Bqash on the Rukla-Qatana road, along with the entry of a civilian delegation dressed in military uniforms. Field investigations were conducted alongside military vehicles, and these activities lasted for several hours.

Additionally, the Syrian Observatory reported that four Israeli soldiers were seriously injured as a result of an explosion of an explosive device—likely an old bomb—in occupied Mount Hermon. The wounded were transferred for treatment within Israeli territory.

The area where the explosion occurred is located within the Syrian-occupied territories controlled by Israeli forces. These events highlight ongoing tensions and escalation in the border region.
