Military Reinforcements and Tensions in Eastern Aleppo Countryside

Sources exclusive to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights have reported that a meeting was recently held in Aleppo city, involving figures from the Syrian Interim Government and commanders of the "Free Syrian Army" factions. During the meeting, instructions were issued regarding the Deir Hafar axis concerning the deployment of show-of-force military units equipped with heavy weapons, including tanks and artillery, to the area.
According to sources, the main objective of these movements is to prevent any potential attack by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on the eastern Aleppo countryside fronts, and to send a clear message that armed factions are prepared to respond to any threats—especially after reports indicated that the SDF possesses kamikaze drones, missile launchers, and long-range artillery stationed at the Sugar Factory.
The sources confirmed that these reinforcements are part of a display of force, and that they are expected to take place in three phases starting from Aleppo city, passing through Khanasser and Sufirah, toward Kweer Airbase, which hosts foreign fighters from Igor and Chechnya, in an attempt to impose a deterrence state along the contact lines.
In a related development, trucks accompanied by a Turkish delegation were observed entering Kweer Airbase yesterday, with the road leading to it closed, indicating a tightened security situation.
The eastern Aleppo countryside has been experiencing ongoing security and military tensions, including mutual shelling and intermittent clashes, reflecting the fragile field situation and unstable front lines. The Observatory also reported the closure of main roads, including the Aleppo-Raqqa highway and secondary roads leading to Deir Hafar, along with increased security deployment and checkpoints at key entrances, which has disrupted traffic and obstructed civilians' access to the area.
