Quneitra Witnesses Widespread Withdrawals from the Electoral Body in Protest Against the Marginalization of the Revolutionaries

Quneitra Governorate has experienced a wave of mass withdrawals from the electoral body of the People's Council, amid increasing protests against what residents see as falsification of their will and the exclusion of revolutionaries by the Higher Electoral Committee.
Mass Withdrawals and Reactions Rejecting the Electoral Process
So far, seven members have announced their withdrawal from the body, namely: Hadeel Ghanem, Faten Mohamed, Bian Shenwan, Iman Mohamed, Marwa Othman, Mazel Mousa Alali, and Khadija Hail Mohamed. These moves come in response to the exclusion of prominent revolutionary figures from the electoral scene, including Dr. Iyad Ghalib Rashed, Sheikh Musab Al-Zamil, Dr. Ahmed Daham Al-Tahan, Mandooh Al-Tahan, detained Hamza Al-K’ad, Judge Khaled Lawrence Boulain, Fahmiyah Al-Mousa (Mother of the Revolutionaries), and Professor Yasser Al-Marzouqi. It is expected that more withdrawals will follow, with a boycott statement issued by various tribes and groups in the region.
Rejection Statements: Denouncing Falsification and Exclusion
The withdrawing members confirmed that they are not seeking official positions; rather, they oppose what they describe as "a conspiracy, marginalization, and clear discrimination against the symbols of the revolution and the competent." They consider what is happening to be "a premeditated plan by a party affiliated with the coalition, which has been accustomed to falsifying the will of Syrians over recent years." They emphasized that their stance stems from their concern for the national interest and respect for the principles upon which the state is based. They condemned the exploitation of the former regime against them and affirmed that they will not be tools in a theater aimed at distorting the will of the region’s people.
A Call for Unity in the Struggle
The withdrawers issued a plea to their colleagues from the "Era of Dignity and Freedom" to take the same stance. They stated that "falsehood can only be built upon by further falsehood." They affirmed that they are "soldiers in the service of change and building a better future," and currently expect the Syrian state to undertake correction and realignment of the course, to protect the will and dignity of the people.
