Northern Aleppo Teachers Organize Protest to Claim Their Financial Rights

Teachers from Northern Aleppo organized a large protest in Saadallah Al-Jabri Square in Aleppo to condemn the delay in paying their salaries for over three months. Thousands of teachers suffer from the repercussions of this postponement, which negatively impacts their financial and moral stability.
The protesters expressed their frustration at the continued neglect of their legitimate demands by the concerned authorities, emphasizing the urgent need to disburse their due payments promptly and to ensure they are fairly compensated for their efforts in the education sector, especially given the difficult circumstances faced by residents in the area.
The teachers called for their integration into other educational sectors to secure their rights and improve their living conditions. They pointed out that the ongoing salary delays threaten the stability of the educational process and hinder the performance of both students and teachers.
The protesters stressed that this sit-in is an urgent protest stance aimed at drawing attention to their suffering and calling on responsible authorities to respond to their legitimate demands as quickly as possible. They reiterated that their demands are not excessive but are lawful rights guaranteed by laws and international conventions.
On their part, some concerned parties expressed their willingness to listen to the teachers’ demands and confirmed that they will follow up on the issue with the relevant authorities to find urgent solutions that ensure the rights of teachers and stabilize the educational work in the region.
