Ocalan Expresses Desire to Meet Baghazi to Discuss the Peace Process

Aisha Gül Doğan, spokesperson for the Equality and Democratic Peoples Party, stated that Abdullah Ocalan, leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, has expressed his intention to meet with President Masoud Barzani to discuss the future of the peace process in Turkey. This came during her statement following the party's central committee meeting today in Ankara, where she emphasized that Ocalan considers dialogue with Barzani a crucial step in any path aimed at achieving a political solution to the crisis.

In a related context, Doğan revealed that the party is planning a visit to Imrali prison, where Ocalan is held, to discuss upcoming steps in the peace track. She clarified that the Kurdish leader also wishes to meet with President Nechirvan Barzani, commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi, as well as Kobad and Bafel Talabani.

Doğan also called for the formation of a special parliamentary committee to oversee the implementation of the new peace process, stressing the importance of the participation of all relevant Kurdish parties to ensure sustainable results on the ground.
