President Sisi Praises the Role of the Armed Forces

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated on Sunday that the armed forces are making significant efforts to enhance the foundations of security and stability across all strategic directions. This came during his chairmanship of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces meeting, held as part of the celebrations marking 52 years since Egypt’s glorious October War victories, according to the Egyptian Presidential Spokesman, Mohamed Shnawy.
In the statement published by the presidency on its official Facebook page, Shnawy clarified that the meeting discussed many issues, especially in light of current changes on the international and regional stages, and their impact on Egyptian national security.
The spokesman added that Field Marshal Abdel Majeed Sallal, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, reviewed numerous tasks undertaken by the armed forces during the meeting, including their role in protecting national borders, as well as their efforts in cooperating with various ministries and institutions to support the sustainable development plans implemented by the state across all sectors.
At the end of the meeting, Sisi saluted the souls of the brave martyrs of the nation, emphasizing that the spirit of October victory will remain etched in the hearts of the Egyptian people across generations. He also affirmed that the prosperity and progress the nation enjoys are the fruits of the sacrifices of the heroes who wrote the epic of crossing, sacrificing their lives for their homeland’s dignity and honor.
