Prisoner Exchange Between Russia and Ukraine Concludes a New Round of Negotiations
تبادل أسرى بين روسيا وأوكرانيا

Today, Thursday, both Russia and Ukraine announced the completion of a new batch of prisoner exchanges between the two sides.

According to details, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a group of Russian military personnel held captive by Ukraine has returned to their homeland after being in captivity. The ministry clarified that, in return, a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war has been transferred.

In a statement, the Russian Defense confirmed that "the Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical support, and they will be transported to the Russian Federation for treatment and rehabilitation." The ministry added that "all returning Russian military personnel will be transferred to Russian territory to receive the required medical care."

In Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated via Telegram: "Today, soldiers from the armed forces, the National Guard, and the border guards are returning home."

Neither Ukrainian nor Russian authorities disclosed the number of prisoners exchanged during this operation, which is part of the Russian-Ukrainian agreements signed in Istanbul on June 2.
