Sweida: Protests in Shabha Demanding the Release of Kidnapped Persons

Today, the Roman stadium stands in the city of Shabha, Sweida, hosted a protest organized by the group "Sabwa Sand" calling for the immediate release of all kidnapped men and women and to clarify their fate. The protest reflected ongoing ambiguity and official neglect regarding the kidnapping issue in the province, amid deteriorating security conditions and increasing kidnapping incidents.
Participants held banners demanding the disclosure of the whereabouts of their children and relatives, and carried photos of the missing, expressing their continued outrage over the widespread abduction and violations against civilians. They emphasized the urgent need for action by the relevant authorities to end this crisis, which now threatens many families and deepens the community’s suffering.
This protest is part of a series of daily demonstrations carried out by "Sabwa Sand," through which they insist on not compromising on the issue of the kidnapped and demand the end of their suffering. They also call for community and governmental intervention to find immediate solutions to end the phenomenon of kidnapping and concealment of the missing persons’ fate.
On October 7, "Sabwa Sand" organized a silent protest in Shabha city demanding the immediate release of kidnapped men and women from Sweida. The protest was in response to the violent events that took place in the city on July 13, which increased local suffering and fueled demands for prompt release and transparency in investigations.
