Al-Hasakah: Mutual Shelling Between National Army Factions and Tella Tamer Military Council Forces
جيش مشترك

Northern Al-Hasakah countryside has witnessed a new escalation in military tensions, with factions of the National Army shelling the village of At-Tawila using heavy artillery as part of the Euphrates Shield operation. In response, forces of the Tella Tamer Military Council targeted the sources of fire, with no casualties reported so far. This escalation comes after a period of stability lasting more than a month along the contact lines between the two sides, raising fears of a return to military tension and endangering civilian lives.

The escalation began on August 31 when National Army factions attempted to infiltrate the Tella Tamer countryside near the Tella Tamer village. Fierce clashes erupted with the forces of the Tella Tamer Military Council, resulting in the injury of at least two attackers and thwarting their attempt to advance.

In a related development, the Syrian Democratic Forces warned against any attacks on areas under their control, affirming that they will respond with force and strength. They warned against attempts to change the status quo through military operations carried out by the interim government forces or their supporting factions, considering such actions a threat to security and stability in the region.
