Bashar Assad: Terrorism Understands Only the Language of Power

Syrian President Bashar Assad stated on Sunday that "terrorism understands only the language of power," amid ongoing heavy bombardment in northern Syria to repel attacks from armed factions.
Assad received a phone call from Badran Gumba, the acting president of Abkhazia, who reaffirmed his country's support for Syria "in the face of organized terrorist attacks." Gumba emphasized that victory will be on the side of Syria as a state, a people, and a leadership, according to the Syrian News Agency.
Assad highlighted that "terrorism understands only the language of power, which is the language we will use to break and eliminate it, regardless of its supporters and sponsors." He added that "the terrorists do not represent any people or institutions; they belong only to the apparatuses that manipulate them and provide them with support."
Additionally, Tehran announced its support for Damascus in the ongoing war in northern and central Syria. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that his country supports the Syrian government and its forces against attacks from factions, adding that he will travel to Damascus today carrying a message from Tehran that says, "We strongly support you."
On another front, the White Helmets reported in a statement released through their official channels that airstrikes by government and Russian aircraft on Saturday resulted in the deaths of seven civilians, including three children and a woman, while 18 others were injured, including eight children and five women.
They added that the toll from the intense attacks over the past four days has risen to 31 fatalities, including ten children and four women, with 113 others injured, including 44 children and 22 women.
Meanwhile, armed faction fighters announced on Sunday that they continued their advance south of Aleppo city, successfully taking control of the town of Khanaser in an attempt to cut off the main supply route to the army in the city.
Armed factions, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, launched an operation named "Deterrence of Aggression" last Wednesday and managed to seize vast areas in northwestern Syria, including most of Aleppo city.
